I think it is PS/2 keyboard, which is fine, and the card reader is old serial COM port. I'll probably just use the keyboard part anyway, so the serial install isn't needed. Free is free.

Actually, wan't going to get one. Then I decided to see exactly what info is present on all my mag strips.

It's not a credit card reader - its a smart card reader. You use it with card that has a smart chip on it (e.g. Amex Blue or Citi Smart Card). All data on the chip is encrypted and requires the users pin to access it.
