This is the worst piece of junk ever. It says it successfully transferred all my programs&settings over, but none of the programs worked, I had prompts constantly saying files were missing. At least there was a good reverse transfer option that saved my computer from complete heck. I thought this software sounded too good to be true.
What this program is supposed to do is successfully copy your old programs (say accounting software) that you cannot afford to replace onto a new system. This would be good if you wanted to move your accounting software from your windows 95 box to a windows xp box.
Ghost just makes an image of the drive. Laplink (at least in theory) is supposed to surgically transpose a program from one computer to another.
Getting it and sending the link to a friend who REALLY needs it! He can then transfer the data from his old Pentium100 using a Parallel cable since he doesn't have USB or any technical skill at all. He doesn't want to transfer programs anyway, just the data from them. (Documents, etc.)
