Real friends are people you know and can count on. MySpace promotes stupidity and I challenge anyone to give a reason why MySpace shouldn't be shut down.

Myspace was intitially intended for prospective band members to make contact with each other, but it quickly twisted itself into something inappropriate and bordering on illegal IMO. We've blocked it at the firewall at our company and I block it at home to keep my kids away from it.

I like Lionel Richie though, if only his old stuff. Good stuff for Richie fans.

I think myspace is a pretty good way to keep in touch with friends that are far away. Myspace is only insecure if you're stupid and give away all your info on it... the only info required on myspace is an email addy and a name. Anything else found out by anybody is your own fault. The concept is great, but the community made it a problem. You can't blame myspace for their community being a bunch of immature morons. If you could, then there wouldn't be any muliplayer games for the same reasons. Why not shut down WoW while we're at it, and God knows BF2 holds the most immature community of any game I've played.
