Don't try to list thing at night.......and have it run for a week. ebay usually updates their website on Thursday night which might ruin your auction somehow.

I know everything about this. I actually run a web site that powers many of eBay's listings. (In the hundreds of thousands a week, to give you an idea.)

Anyway Thursday is a great day to list, just have them be ten or three day listings. eBay's peak traffic is Sunday about 7pm pacific time.

Their load shouldn't be an issue, they've been doing some great scalability work lately that has increased their performance. Be sure to put a stipulation in your TOS, however, that indicates you will re-auction an item if the eBay system is down or otherwise unavailable.

Parn, FVF still applies. This is basically a good opportunity to put a bunch of stuff up there at retail prices to see if you get a nibble, or to otherwise save on stuff you were going to auction anyway.

maybe more than 30c hard to tell but may be credited for all insertion fees. ie under $10 is 30c , higher is more... a nevermind i cant explain.

awesome! I've got a few things that I wanted to get rid of... tomorrow would be a perfect time to list.

BTW, I would agree - Sunday, 7-8pm PST is one of the busiest for online shopping. Monday 7-8pm PST is a close second: at those times, you get the east coast folks, as well as the west coast folks all at home, and (possibly) online at the same time.

i always try to auction 10am ish PST to catch everyone at work. I think (maybe wrong) that most people, I have products for, have internet at work.

there must be stats out there somewhere about it.

Great day not to list items. Probably more sellers to sell what ya got, with the same amount of bidders. Plus you only save $.30. Great if your selling cheapo stuff
