Are these coupons for a single *item* or for a discount on the total items in a single
purchase transaction?

Also, for anyone who's signed up in the past couple of days, how quickly did you
get the coupon via email?

Discount is on total purchase price

Without looking at the fine print I am almost positive this is for a one time discount on a total transaction. Not a single item.

I got my coupon about 4-5 hours after I requested it.

Once you get the coupon does it have an expiration date, if so, when do they
expire?

I'm still fence-sitting on brands to purchase and don't want to waste a coupon
if I decide to shop somewhere else due to brand / model selection.

For Lowes,

It's been a couple days for me, and I'm still waiting, but of course considering
the holiday weekend, etc. it's likely there was a backlog and they probably
had only one business day so far to process all the stuff since last Friday.

It'd be interesting to see if anyone who's first applied
in the past 48 hours has already gotten it, in which case
I'm going to start thinking I've got a problem.

A couple people here said they got one after 2-3 days,
a few others have said they got it in 3-5 hours via email.

For home depot, I think the site says they send them via U.S. Mail,
not email, so that'll take a few days.

Here's hoping for tomorrow!

Cool ... I have to go buy a bunch of stuff at Lowes later today anyway, might as well pay 10% less!

I think mine said July 12th or something like that and I got it last Sunday or Monday. I don't have it in front of me so I can't check for sure.

By the way as w3rdna stated you can print out two (or more) of these and use them at Home Depot or other competitors that will accept them.

Wish I would have seen this earlier. I just bought a washer and dryer. I ended up saving 20% on it at Lowe's. 10% off sale for Memorial Day and another 10% for opening a Lowe's credit card.

Ugh!

I spent $2900 on wood for my deck two weeks ago. Could've saved $290...

Bah - my $39 Wal-mart grill had been working fantastic for 6 years now, used about 2x a month, on average.

You don't so much get what you pay for, as you get what you take care of.

Well that's the point of the coupon, but how in the world are they going to know if you actually moved or not?

Well in the sign up form to get the coupon they do ask whether you're
renting, own / will one 1st time, repeat owner, and what time frame you
plan to move in and whether it's tentative or firm.

In my case it's complex since we've just moved to a temporary place and
are looking to do so to a better place shortly, so I just said tentatively in
a few weeks but "already moved" would be true too so hopefully that's
not a pass/fail test as to when and whether you get the coupon...

The Lowes coupon may nor work on special order items. I tried to use it today on an electric range, but since it was a special order they said it was only good for in-stock items. They still gave me extra 10% off though since they matched a lower sale price on the same range from another store.

I wonder if there's any possibility of using this on a previous purchase. They do have price protection if you find it priced lower within 30 days or something. I just bought a $3000 lawn tractor about 2 weeks ago. Doh!
