It does work. I saw this almost a year ago at a deal site
and signed up for RD. The magazine started about 8 weeks
later and it is now due for renewal.

I haven't received any spam yet from them too...

It does work. I also did this deal last year. I got the magazine for 1 year I think... it came asking for a renew with payment and I just trashed it. Great deal. You also get the ValPak junk, but who cares?
