Are you looking for a free copy of Office but you don't want to go to jail? Just attend the Microsoft TS2 seminar and you get a copy for free. It's a half-day event but well worth it for a free copy of Office. If you're not looking to get Office for free, you can pick up Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition, or Virtual PC instead.


Update (1/23/04): Microsoft has been swamped with registrations for the T2 seminar, and ithey have stated that the seminar isn't for everyone. The T2 seminars are geared towards technology providers who want to learn about Microsoft business products, certification programs, and network with other professionals.

I see where it refers to a certificate which may be redeemed for a "high value, Not-For-Distribution, Microsoft product" but I don't see where it refers to that product being Office 2k3, Server 2k3, or Virtual PC. Any chance you could show us where you found this?

I was going to show a few co-workers about this, since a few of us are going to be at the same place for a different Microsoft event on one of the days, but I would like to back up my claims

Couple years ago they had one of these for college students, picked up a free copy of WinXP Pro and Office. Free software from Microsoft is a hot deal

I just attended the TS2 event at Fairfax, Virginia held last week. It was 4 hours long but not too bad. We got 3 breaks and free popcorn/soda (the event was at a movie theatre).

Like OP said, you get a coupon # that you redeem online for the software.

The presentation is not very technical. It's mainly Microsoft trying to get you excited about their software so you'll go out and resell it. You're basically MS's sales force. I gotta admit, Virtual PC looked pretty tight.

I just was at a TS2 seminar, and they voucher is good for one of the 3 listed software programs. I decided on Small Business Server 2003 myself. After you go to the provided link from the voucher., sign on via Passport, then a few clicks and you are all processed. No sales tax and shipping charges to me. Sweet Deal. thanks Hevnsnt.
