DeafeningSilence,
Thank you for your uneducated/uniformed views on Minnesota's Governor. There is still a plurality up here that are quite happy with how he's performed as Governor and would vote for him if he ran for reelection.
Well, I may not live in Minnesota, but that doesn't make me ignorant. Before I posted my previous statement, I talked at length with family who lives in MN. Their view is that he has made a joke and a mockery of the office of governor, by selfishly pursuing reforms that are in his own best interests, and not of the state as a whole. I don't remember what scandals they mentioned, but he did sound quite immature as well. He fired the entire staff of the governor's mansion after shutting it down for a time over a petty argument.
I'll eat my words if he's re-elected by your 'plurality'.
you should really quit while you are ahead..... you just showed your all-consuming ignorance.....
well - jesse has little chance for reelection since he's not running. i suppose you are too well informed for that info huh? secondly one family does not make a state wide and definative concenses now does it?
immature. sure. idiot at times? sure. embarrassing? yeah. amusing? definatly. genuine? damn right. doesn't hold to usual conventions? yep. has a bunch of common sense? un-huh.
through all of his probelms he had the right mind to hire some of the best commissioners to work under him that minnesota has ever seen.
scandals huh? the legislature cut his funding for his body guards and protection. to compensate jesse got the money he needed from closing down the governers mansion. and furthermore the workers were not fired but rather laid off. this is no less honorable than what politicians do behind closed doors. jesse is merely up front and blunt with his decisions and it make him the biggest target in MN.
reforms - here are some good ones: he has lowered the lisencing fees for autos by about 2/3, he has gotten rid of polution control charges on autos ($23.00 a year) in a programs that had like 99% of autos passing, but citizens footing the bill for billions every year.... he's got good common sense and he knows that governement in MN is bloated and politicians left unwatched will tax and regulate the hell out you. MN is the land of regulation and taxes....
he's certainly not a failure. flawed yes, but what politician isn't?
