I was shopping at my local WalMart yesterday and remembered that we needed some soap.
My preferred brand is Lever 2000.
Lo and Behold, Specially marked boxes contain a "FREE" movie ticket to Sony/Lowes theaters.
The (8) 4.5oz bars cost about $4.50 and the Ticket is valued at about $8.00.
I ended up bringing home 2 packages. (2 free tickets)

When I arrived home and told the wife what I found, she look at me and thought I was nuts for not buying more.

She ended up running out to WalMart, the first thing this morning and purchased another $50.00 in soap for the "Free" tickets.

Let see, We got...

12 movie tickets valued at $96.00 and $60.00 in soap for $60.00

BTW, Make sure if you buy any that you check that the packaging is not opened.
I noticed that some were opened and some dispicable people stole the tickets off a few.

Thanks, bought $30 worth of soap 6 free tickets. No mail-ins just real ticket coupons. Can be used at almost every theater not just Loews there's a list on the ticket pretty much covers every theater chain.

I think it's good practice to not buy opened soap anyway

Are there any restrictions on the tickets? (Say only good past the first two weeks, etc.)?

Thanks, looks to be a great deal if you have Loews/Sony near you!

It's a great deal. I just got some myself. At first I thought they don't have it, but it was at the back of the older stuff they have.
There are a lot of theaters mentioned (about 100), here's a subset (just the ones I've heard of):
Century Theaters
Fox Cineplex
General Cinema
Hoyts Cinemas
Loews Cineplex
Regal Cinemas
Sony Theaters
United Artists Theaters

Restrictions:
Up to $10, valid until April 30, 2002.

No, it's available on Lever 2000 boxes wherever they sell Lever 2000. Not just at Walmart.

Nice...I love the Regal Cinemas near me. I think it's time to go stock up on Soap!

(I don't know about $100 worth, but I'm sure $30-40 isn't out of the question, the soap will always get used!)

Has anyone used these tickets? I don't think anyone has responded to the inquiry regarding whether you can use these for new movies, or only for movies that have been out for over 2 weeks. Has anyone successfully used these tickets for a new release?

Hmm...don't know, but there seem to be a number of eb@y auctions with movie tickets expiring on 4/30 that have no limits. Maybe they are realted? I'll check out the tixs within the next two days and verify if someone doesn't do it first.

This crazy...I wish there were a Walmart in NYC. I go to the movies very often and could really use those. Here, a movie ticket costs $10, BTW.

There are no restrictions written on the movie coupon relating to new or less-than-new movies. I know our particular chain does not allow any promotions for the first week of releasing the movie. Check with your chain.

How does the movie cash work?
Do I purchase ticket, then mail the coupon? or the coupon works as cash so I don't need to buy ticket at all?

I can confirm that these are INDEED Movie-Cash certificates! For those of you without Wal-mart, I just found 6 boxes at my local Target for $3.74 each! Total after tax was only $24...not bad at all for 6 movie tickets.

Thanks guys, this is a great deal! I need to see if I can find a few more (don't know what the hell I'm going to do with 48 bars of Lever 2000, though...haha).

According to Movie Cash's website:

<< Movie Cash and Concession Cash certificates are accepted at most theaters in the United States. Please refer to the list of participating theaters. Movie Cash certificates carry no restrictions and can be used at any time for any movie, even for "no coupon" and "no pass" showings. >>

I tried a few more places. Fred Meyers had them, but at $5.99 (on sale), both Albertsons & Safeway at $5.99 (regular price), and Wal-mart at $4.94 (though some schmuck had gone thru them all and stolen the movie tickets - sheesh, at least have the decency to pay the $4 for the soap and clean up your act).

Target still looks to be the best, I hope they get more in stock.
