I got back from the Detroit one today. Interesting product, but I doubt my work would embrace it for use. I got a good laugh when someone's phone went off playing the Halloween theme. Other than that... looks like someone is trying to sell their copy on Craigslist already. Amatuers...

I think I'll try one of these out just to see what kind of crowd is there, just check out the scene you know? No expectations, maybe I'll meet a few people, maybe learn a few things, maybe network a bit, and maybe I'll walk out after the first hour. No pressure, man.

I went to one and it was like a cult or something. I had to bold after about an hour because I honestly couldn't remember what the freebie at the end was, and just one hour in I was dying for a break. They had a nice spread though--pastries, coffee, fresh fruit. There was just no redeeming value whatsoever to what the puppets on the stage were droning on about.

I hope the Heroes Happen Here one at least has some content to it.

i went quite a while back, a few weeks ago at least now, to the event in Los Angeles and I've gotten some random emails about CRM and related products, but haven't received my office 2007 yet ... anybody else?

it was an interesting event, well hosted, relatively interesting presentation, just not what our company is looking for at this time

on Apr 17th i received an email from the CRM Launch Team with details on how to get my copy of Office Professional 2007. according to the email, i have to download a Trial version of the program, then use the serial they provided in the email to install it. curiously, the site that hosts the Trial requires a "Windows Live ID" (MSN or Hotmail username) in order to authorize the d/l.

has anyone else received such email? were the rules the same?

sorry. I don't understand. you mean that you did receive a similar email and a website asked you for your Hotmail login informationa? the only reason l'm double-checking this is because I was expecting Microsoft to mail me an actual CD....
