I got this, too for describing a trail that I'd recently been on. Showed up in about 2 weeks, but now that I've got it, I'm all good to go. Ya know? it's about the first useful thing I've gotten free online (barring tshirts, which I've got WAY too many of...)

Got mine, and I must say, that it is one heck of a bottle, for what thats worth

Why do people like these water bottles so much more than any other water bottle? The only features I see it having are measuring lines and the pop top. The material seems to be pretty durable too. But why do people look to buy this particular bottle? Is it one of those "trend" things like buying Abercrombie clothes because that's what's popular?
BTW, I see a lot of people using these bottles for their protein drinks, and I see how the measuring lines would help for this, but to carry water? (it's not a must have is it?)

The material (Lexan) is very durable and doesn't retain taste. I like the big screw top because it's easier to clean. Water also won't leak out because of the cap design. I've dropped this bottle many times and besides for the regular scratches, it's hanging in there.

It's not a must, but they're cheap (relatively - $5-6 for a 1L bottle), extremely durable (if you get the lexan sort), and very versatile. I use mine while hiking for water, oatmeal, soup, granola, and the occasional cocoa. They're great.

I just sent my review in. Hopefully will be getting the bottle soon. Can always use more of these.

Got mine. Used it this past weekend. Went to Piney River Gourge outside of Crossville, TN, pretty nice place. I would recommend.

Got mine today. Yay.. Good for my next hike. Too bad it's so damn cold out.

Just read the question about why these are so popular. I think it's because the container material doesnt add any "plastic" taste to the water.. They are durable, easy to wash.. Hold a lot of water, etc..

And part is the brand name. Kind of like The North Face hiking gear, Nalgene is a well known name for water bottles. Not as bas as Abercrappie and Bitch, though.

The bottle rocks though, great for hiking.
