Free New "Castle Wolfenstein" mp game

Yea, my mistake - I thought it was the final, but beta, release for this game (like they cut their losses).... they will not be doing the single player portion of it, but they will be doing a final, completed multiplayer version.

If the mods would please move the thread to software instead of locking it, I would apprectiate it.

Pre owned copies of the game were selling for 12.99 at my local EB for a while. I loved the game, so many sniper rifles =) My favorite weapon is the Mauser Rifle without the scope, such a deadly weapon at any range. But it was a pain to avoid picking up the scoped mauser accidently, since you can't take it off.

Anyone noticed that even in a 40 or lower ping server, you still lag? Hopefully it's just the betaness of it Also they need some better voicing for the axis team, they sound like something I don't want to say hah.

DL'ing now. Played the free version of the first one but never bought the game beacuse I tire of them too quickly. Have to play this as much as I can as fast as I can.

I've tried Wolfy MP a couple of times and just don't like it. Krauts speaking English, no identification of team mates (like in MOHAA for example) are the main reasons.

This isn't an ordinary game demo. It's Return to Castle Wolfenstein multiplayer for FREE. FREE as in you do NOT need the original game. Free as in the full release will not require the original game or your money either.

Perhaps you've heard of id software? Makers of the Doom and Quake series which are arguably the best FPS the planet has ever seen? Sold millions upon millions of games? Remember them now? Believe me, this is a hot deal. You name another full blown, cutting edge game that is being given away like this and maybe you'll have a point. I won't hold my breath.

Yeah I agree. Should be an easier way to tell who's on your team just by looking. Played a few rounds and uninstalled it. Blah.

And quite a few of them suck. I'm not sure what your bandwidth is, but it takes time to download these demos, and my time is valuable, if only for the reason that I hate to waste it. If someone has taken the time to check it out and post about it, I'm OK with that.

There aren't too many other games that are free like this one, America's Army you say? Believe me, you and I ARE paying for that POS through taxes!

The proper place would have been software, but being posted in hot deals is fine by me. It seems that a lot of others are fine with it also. Hot deals doesn't always have to be hardware related.
