I ordered my glasses yesterday and got an email a few hours ago confirming its been sent. While I cant totally vouch for them until I received my glasses, this truly looks legit and professional; especially compared to sites like eyebuydirect which takes two weeks just to process and ship the order.

Thanks for the info.

Oh its legit, Im wearing mine
And yes, they are SILLY fast. I couldnt believe I got mine in under a weeks time from when I ordered to the time they came to my door. Shipping said the 11th and they showed up on the 9th I think. I know I said before that I wouldnt order another pair unless they were free, and then I would buy from Zenni, where I usually get my glasses from, but to get them this fast, prescription spot on, makes me think I found my new place to get them and just spend a few dollars more. I got the $100 frames because they were free, but I might buy the $40-$68 dollar ones next time. Thats if there is a next time soon. My arms are made of wood, which I didnt know because the description said metal, so I dont know how long they will last, never had wood before (oh shut up Im talking about my glasses not my pecker, hehe).

All I know though is, I paid them, paid for shipping and coats, the rest was free and I got me a super nice pair of designer glasses for $35 out of pocket. Something I normally dont do. I buy the cheapest I can find and dont care how they look or what people think of them. These new ones I do, been showing them off to everyone.

I just looked. I ordered on the 4th and got mine on the 9th fedex. Took 5 days from order to door. That damn silly fast for sure. And Im not kidding when I said I didnt have to adjust to them. I stuck them on and bam, it was spot on, no getting used to them at all. I think I will order from them again when the time comes.

I was quoted $500 for frames and lenses yesterday from Lenscrafters. The exam was $87 and I'm fine with that. But I think I might try one of these mailorder joints.

Costco eye exam $49, if you don't have a membership, Walmart is $59, at least in my area that's the price.

Make sure to see if your insurance doesn't include glasses. Last time I looked at a pair of glasses I found out we had coverage, which paid for the exam, new rx each year and new frames every other year.

Online places have simple glasses, no tint, basic frames, for less than the insurance deductible, so we order those directly from Zenni or whatever. Even some of the fancier options we wanted like photogrey, came out less than the deductible when using a local vs online source, but we did find some combinations of special frames and lenses where the local shop combined with insurance was a much better option (quality safety glasses).

My major gripe with all the online places, getting the glasses fitted locally can be a PITA, so you end up with a low price on good lenses and frames that never get fitted to you properly.

BTW, one of the measurements you need is the PD (pupil to pupil distance). My mother-in-law's Rx did not have this info, so I called Coastal to find out how to measure it. Got a really nice CS agent who explained that you simply use a ruler to measure the distance between the center of each eye, resting the ruler on the bridge of the nose. She noted that you cannot do this yourself in the mirror (she tried several times and failed), that it is best done by someone else, and that the measurement should be taken at least three times; it must be accurate within 2mm. So, I took the measurement myself, and got 55, 55, & 56mm, and went with the last on the order. If this post is still alive when her glasses come in, I'll report back the degree of success.

finally bit, got a new pair of sunglasses, and used my BofA card to get an extra 10% back through AddItUp website. Total savings 132$ (according to website) plus an extra 6$ back

88$ frames, plus 69.95$ for lenses, plus 19.95 for coatings - all for 60$

not bad at all

Ok, I'm in. ATOT strikes again.

Ordered on the afternoon of the 20th, arrived noon on the 25th, from over 2500 miles away. Fast.

I'm not sure about these lenses. Viewing in most directions is fine, but when you look very far to the side, the side with the eye looking to the outside edge loses sharpness.
I am used to aviator style and these are rectangular, so maybe I'm just used to having a much larger lens (and maybe a much larger sweet spot). Might take some getting used to.

From my experience that can come from changing the size of the lenses if you came from something almost twice as large then it will take you awhile to adjust.

Received mine today. Glasses are alright and really can't complain about the price. I wish it was better quality but it's just ok, not cheap by any means.
