"Join IHOP to celebrate National Pancake Day (also known as Mardi Gras, or Shrove Tuesday) on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. From 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., we'll give you one free short stack (three) of our famous buttermilk pancakes. All we ask is that you consider making a donation to support local children's hospitals through Children's Miracle Network, or other local charities."

Yeah, I'm all for free food, but is it worth dealing with all that crap, because you know every cheap bastard will be there, just to save like $3? I'll probably spend $3 in gas driving there and back.

Hmm, pancakes!

Mardi Gras translates as "Greasy Tuesday", a reminder to slather those 'cakes down with plenty of rich creamery butter. It wouldn't hurt to have a little bacon or maybe some pork sausage on the side. After all, MG is the last day to eat meat, before the fast starts.
