Also, how does EZ armor compare to the Panda? Can you use only the Zonealarm pro from the package?

Why exactly does anyone care if the owner of panda is a scientoligist? How does that affect this as a hot deal? Why was that thread locked? I'm sure many compnaies that make software are headed by christians or jews, should we lock every deal where someone working for a company makes religious donations? I don't get it.

I tired panda and it seemd nice. Now I am trying EZ and I think it sucks. It has a very unintuitve windows 3.1 type interface, and I don't think it includes e-mail protection, although I havent looked enough yet. The icons look unprofessional and it has an over all 'cheap' feel to it.

I don't think that zonealarm is fully functional, the option to block programs from sending e-mail is absent.

I don't want to get into a protracted argument about this in a deals forum Suffice it to say that it's not because of the beliefs of the owner. All I really need to state is already located at http://www.xenu.net, I suggest you to read it in depth if you wish to understand why others disagree with the organization of the COS.

I'm a sociology/anthropology student, so I'd be glad to objectively discuss this subject further through PMs or email.

Most likely because it became a thread about the stuff you're talking about instead of the deal.

If you had read the thread, you would know you are wrong. The moderator locked it and stated he was locking it because of the beliefs of the owner. Up until that point, no one had mentioned it.

Okay, I see what you mean. Even when I read your reply it wasn't clear--by owner I thought you mean original poster. I'm surprised the it got locked for that. My gut feeling still tells me that happened because the thread starting going off topic no matter what the mod said.

Sorry for being unclear. What you are saying makes sense, however I was activley watching the thread, and the lock kind of just came out of nowhere. I looked at the link provided by one of the other members here about scientology but its a personal page and doesnt seem enough to reall justify this.

In all honesty I don't care that much about any of this, but it still seems wrong to lock a thread for that reason

Curious why a company would name their av software panda? You have Vsheild and thing that get in your mind like protection and sheilding. What the hell kind of a naming scheme does panda offer? Is he gonna slowly eat the virus like some leaves and act real cute? </rant>
