They later justify the last one by stating that other celebrities served no time for the same offenses.
These people are idiots.
'nuff said.

if it were a regular person they would have done community service, house arrest or something less severe. making an example out of someone is not a fair and non biased system. the judge should be removed from the bench and she should be re sentenced by a non biased judge. i know i am in the minority because im not a paris hater here but its bs that a judge has the power to make examples of anyone because they are rich or famous.
its not the fact that paris hilton is going to jail that bothers me, thats just going to sit in a different room to me, not a big deal really, its the fact that so many people dont seem to mind when judges become corrupted by the power they have.
Thank you for contacting Governor Schwarzenegger regarding Paris Hilton. The Governor always appreciates hearing from constituents on issues important to them.
Although the Governor's office has not received a formal request for assistance from Ms. Hilton, the Governor generally will not consider intervening in private legal matters. While the Governor does have executive clemency power, Governor Schwarzenegger will exercise his clemency power only in unusual or extraordinary cases and generally after all judicial remedies have been exhausted.
On behalf of the Governor, thank you again for writing. An informed and engaged citizenry is essential to a successful and responsive government.
Sincerely,
Patrick Campbell
Office of Constituent Affairs

You are out of your mind. Have you ever followed for a couple of weeks the lifestyle she lives? Seems like every other day there are reports of her getting smashed and doing something stupid somewhere, and I'd guess that about half of those times she's driving herself home.
She was on PROBATION for drunk driving. PROBATION. She WAS given a second chance. SHE is the one that blew it. If she didn't learn from that, then she isn't going to learn from another slap on the wrist. Giving her community service would mean her writing a check to a soup kitchen and calling it service.
It's not making an example out of her more than it is teaching her to grow the ****** up and stop being a burden to advance of the world.
Better yet: let's pull a 1984 and "vaporize" her. Purge all records and knowledge of her from existence.Originally posted by: JulesMaximus
Where's the petition to keep her in jail? I'd bet that gets more signatures.

Where is the petition from the CDC to have her quarantined and studied?
