BATracer has been eating up my spare time lately.
It's a free web-based racing management sim. Unlike management sims in the vein of Grand Prix Manager, you don't control the day-to-day business of running a race team and making money.
All you focus on is working on the setup of the car in practice sessions; qualifying and race sessions are automatically calculated based on your setup and your driver settings. You can push harder to go faster, but at the increased risk of crashing or having a mechanical failure.
Free accounts are allowed to participate in two public and two private games at a time.
Players who advertise at the site, or make donations, are allowed access to some extra perks (none of which you need to win), and can also play four public & four private games at a time.
It's easy to pick up, and you can play it with only a ten to fifteen minute per day time investment.
Now, a disclaimer: I'm going to provide you two links to the website. One is the standard link to the main page, the other is the referral link. Clicking the referral link will increase my count of people I've directed to the website. Making an account from my referral will increase my count of people who've signed up.
Neither of which benefit me in any way.
However, people who sign up for accounts and then love the game so much they make a donation...BATracer pays $1.85 for each referred player who becomes a donator.
So click whichever link you want. I'm not going to beg you to click the referral. I just want more people to try the game.
