Free POP3 email?

Someone asked this before but his subject was too vague to get some good replies... I'm looking for a free pop3 email address- nothing fancy.. Just something reliable and such.. My yahoo email gets bombarded with spam and I would LOVE outlook support..

Outlook XP does support hotmail. I don't know about 2000 tho.

I can't get Outlook to work with Hotmail anymore (or Hotmail to work with Outlook - depends on how you look at it).. I think they "fixed" this once they started charging for MSN...

Sorry - didn't mean to "diss" you at all - just didn't want a bunch of people replying with stuff like "yahoo has nice email.. hotmail too" - webmail's easy to find for free.. Just wanted to be specific

Yahoopops! 0.39 works with Yahoo! mail (make a new acct to start fresh of spam first).

It's an interface between pop3 and http, so you can get mail into your outlook/ outlook exp. Then to send mail outwards, you use smtp.

I think you can get a free account with ripplehost.com still. 50 mb of space and 500 megs of xfer. Hosting and e-mail. I have the paid account (all of $5/yr) which has been working for about a month. I use it for my Pop3 based email as well (e-mail space comes out of your total disk space). I think, for a free account, you would just have to come up with some lame webpage with a link to ripplehost.com on it and post it. After that, the free account is yours. Recently, the free server has had issues, but the paid for one has been reliable.

So far, it seems more legit than cyberwings... not that that says much. As far as the support aspect of it goes, there's a forum. The admin doesn't consider answering questions in the support forum a priority nor does alan provide the most comprehensive answers.
