Most shady ones do. For 2 years after I cancelled a similarly marketed product I would get a new charge on my credit card every Jan. Thats 2 years after I cancelled my "free trial".

That is what the one-time CC numbers are for.
The scammier version is if it bills to your cell phone, where you can not generate a one-time number. My silly sister in law who's on my wife's family account ordred some free ringtone, which I saw was a "subscription" I killed that pronto, yet the account was billed for 3 more months. All charges were removed in the end, but it took a lot of time.

Wouldn't it be possible to call your CC and have them cancel any further billing if the cancellation #'s always busy?
Believe me, I sympathize after having it out for three years straight with AOL having tapped into my American Express # back in ?94. (Also, with AE, I might add.)
