I'm in... although my wife makes her own detergent -- it's easy, as good as the name-brand stuff, and saves big $$.
I'm intrigued... Care to share your secret?
Thanks OP. I love these because I always seem to run out of detergent at a bad time and having samples allows that one load to get done before I can make a trip to the store.
Since you asked...
Liquid Laundry Detergent
3 Quarts Water
2/3 Bar Fels Naptha Soap, Grated
1 Cup Washing Soda
1 Cup Borax
4 Gallon Bucket
2 Quarts Hot Water
Cold Water
1 Cup Liquid Gain
Mix Fels Naptha soap in a saucepan with 3 quarts of water, and heat on low until dissolved. Stir in Washing Soda and Borax. Stir until thickened, and remove from heat. Add 2 Quarts Hot Water to 5 Gallon Bucket. Add soap mixture, and mix well. Add Liquid Gain. Fill bucket with cold water to 4 gallon line, and mix well. Set aside for 24 hours, or until mixture thickens. Pour into jugs and use.
You can find other recipes, but this works for us well...
