Free sandwich w/drink @McD

Went to McDonalds this afternoon for a sweet tea, and was given a Southern Style Chicken Sandwich for free with the drink purchase.

with the purchase of any medium or large drink

The sandwich was okay. Don't think I'd ever buy one for the normal $2.50 or so, but free is free. It is a seasoned/breaded chicken breast meat with pickle slices and bun. Nothing else, no rabbit food or secret sauce. Like a snacker I guess, only larger.

I tried the sandwich last night and saw the sign, I liked the chicken sandwhich buy its like 3.50 here in hawaii for just the chicken, bun and pickles

Not bad though

Just got back and eating it right now. The sandwich is okay. Good, but not great like Chick-Fil-A.

i hear the chick-fil-a biscuit sandwiches and normal chicken sandwiches are the best. unfortunately there isn't any around in california. so mcdonalds is taking advantage of it with their lame versions. but the sweet tea is good though...

When I lived in Irvine, there was one in Tustin nearby. I live in Hawaiian Gardens now and there is one across the street from me and 2 in the local Cerritos Mall.

Its exactly like chick-fil-a, i wnet to 2 different Mickey D's to get 2 of the for dinner, ther pretty good, like the other guy said not great, but worth the $1.77 i paid each, i normally drink water so did not care about the soda, nut just the sandwich for $1.59 + tax was a good deal.

Its not a $0.99 sandwich, like on wendy's value menu, its about a $2.50 to $3.00 sandwich.

deals over now though, it was till 7PM only.

Paid $1.08 for a Sweet Tea, and got the sandwich with it. It was pretty good, though I think I prefer Wendy's Spicy Chicken. Can't beat the "almost free" price, though

I got one a couple days ago (but had to pay for it). The fillet was of very decent size. Surprising for McDonalds.

yea over here they were givign out samples plus the free sandwhich. i must say it was quite juicy cept the pickles looked nasty and one of the managers were hella stingy. there was a group that ordered 10 drinks. so they should get 10 burgers, but they gave them only 2 and had to argue to get 2 more then 1 more and finally got all 10 after an hour of arguing..

Missed the promotion, as I worked a very long shift that day. By the way, how is McDo's sweet tea? I've not spent too much time in the South, so I probably don't have a real yardstick anyhow.

Because we have the best food in the country. All they need now is pulled pork and cole slaw.


McD's sweet tea is pretty good, but way overboard on the sugar for my tastes. I get it half-sweet half-unsweet. Nice deal for a buck, though. I got one of the sandwiches the other day. I can't believe C-Fil's isn't suing McD's. It is a clone of their regular chicken sandwich. I thought it was tasty, though.

The one I had was pretty close. The bun wasn't as soft as C-Fil's and the chicken wasn't quite as tender, but the seasoning/breading was really close. If I would had some Polynesian sauce to dip it in, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.
