Yes I purchased the scanner online at www.staples.com yesterday with no problems. Got it with a copy of Paperport Deluxe 7.0 and then used the $30 off $100 coupon that is floating around.

Total cost after rebates is $2.00!

Not sure if it is still in stock...though.

I am looking to buy soon. Is the paperport a good program? Just about anyhting is good if it's free but I want ot know if it's worth it in general.

I can't vouch for PaperPort Pro, but I do use the regular PaperPort that came bundled with my Visioneer scanner, for all my TWAIN hardware. It works really well and is easy to use.

This was already posted (about the scanner, but more people commented on adding something to your cart..blah blah...), but I ordered the scanner (mind you, staples will accept a COPY of the UPC - and just because the rebate address look the same, it's because a rebate center handles it [3rd party company]). I got the MS streets too. After tax and all my rebates, it should come to about $7 total for the scanner and software.

I just tried to order online. Lady says they are out of stock everywhere. SUrely they have them somewhere.
I may try my local staples. What is the chance they would honor a $30.00 off of $100.00?

If the CSR tells you they are out of stock...I would try purchasing online..I am certian that the scanner is in-stock again (at least in my area of US) I was able to navigate a friend through the process and he ordered one last night (Mon). I ordered mine online on Sunday (after CSR told me they were Out of stock!).

I must have gotten lucky on this deal - sort of.

I ordered the scanner and MS streets/trip 2k1 - and I used a $30 staples coupon online....
Needless to say, Staples contacted me and said the scanner was out of stock (no biggy, I have 2 scanners already)....but the software was $29.95 + about $4.00 tax or something...anyhow, they still applied my $30 coupon, so I ended up paying like $5 for the software - BUT - I have my MIR for $20 from MS - so even though I didn't get a scanner, I got paid to buy a piece of software...
