You know, they have to give away free things to intice you to buy this stuff. My MIL bought some, not cheap mind you, because we live in the state where's it's made. Long story short, very disappointing, actually not suitable to drink. Cosidering how much they want for the stuff, there are much better alternatives out there. Maybe it was just our taste, but it was rough drinking.

Anybody like it?

So, just get the free stuff, but buy Kettle One instead!

Agreed. Kettle One or Grey Goose.

Iceburg Vodka for honorable mention.

It's funny though how people get caught up with Absolute and it's not even that good, IMHO. I do like vodka as a mixer, but I use the cheap stuff for that: Barton and Heaven Hill.

Thur's Hammer has good tasting vodka too, and it's like 2/3 the price of greygoose.

Use to be Grey Goose for me, now it's Three Olives. Much cheaper and haven't found anyone yet that can tell the difference.

Yeah, I like that cool bottle (saw it on magazine). Where can you get it? Don't see it in grocery stores like Albertson's, Safeway, etc.

I still can't top Tanqueray when it comes to price/performance ratio. That stuff is good.

Wanna get loaded cheap? $12 handle of Aristocrat. Even cheaper? $10 handle of Vladimir. Vladdy is some awful stuff, but sometimes you just dont care what it tastes like.

I do prefer Belvedere over Grey Goose, though.

i believe skoal is the worst ever, 10.99 for a handle.... i guess vladimir is cheaper, but i've never tried it...

Skol or Taaka is about as low as it can go. Rain vodka is pretty good. A good mid-range vodka is Gordon's, it's cheap but smoother than Skol but its no Grey Goose or Ketel One. I got some Smirnoff sitting on top of my fridge right now, its pretty average.

Or, if you're really hurtin for some price/performance you could go for the Gordon Food Services gallon of Vodka for $6 bucks or so.

Man, I cringe just recalling the names.

The best (and strongest) vodka I have ever had was a Polish brand a friend of mine had me try. He stuck it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, and when he poured it out it had the consistency of thin cough syrup.

Needless to say it went down easy and hit hard.

Popov - Worst I have ever had. Phillips - the staple thru college.
Now it is Stoli, Kettle One or Grey Goose.
