This is a really really hot deal! I was shopping for tires a few months ago and had to go to a B&M because after shipping online tires were just not worth it. But now . . . since shipping is free the savings are tremendous. Good find!

this is a hot deal, you can buy the tire here and have them install at costco

i think costco will charge you $9/tire but that includes free rotation and hazadous warranty for life, please do not quote me on this. but costco is the cheapest place for tire installation that i can find.

I usually print the page for the tires I want at the cheapest site and go to my tire shop, and they sell it for me at the same price, if they need to order them, they come the next day, one time, even discount tires (tires.com) ordered tires for me from tire rack because they didn't carry the ones I wanted !!! installation is free, I pay only for balance.
If you get on that deal, make sure they computer balance your wheels when you get them mounted, also make sure they HAND torque your wheels .. no air guns !!
Thanks for the heads up ... I am going to do some price shopping now and see if that would be a good deal for me ...

Do they air them up and balence them before they send them to you or are you on your own?

I think he said that because Air Guns can over torque the nuts if you aren't careful...therefore biting into your rims and being a pain to get off. I'm sure they have new air guns that they can set for the proper level now...

I need to get a set, but I've debating whether to get online then pay for mounting and balancing, or just go to the tire store and have them do everything. I'd probably save only the tax money buying online. I don't have Costco here, there's Sam's Club, they don't install tires that you buy somewhere else. Any tips ?

I dunno... the free shipping is nice, but the price seemed higher for me compared to tirerack.com
one thing with tirerack is that it cost ~30 or so to ship, but when you order they arrive a day or two later!

SOHCC I dont know about tires.com but tirerack lets you drop ship to a shop in your area from the site and it shows their average mount and balance,valve stem fees.
I just had them shipped to me,took them to a used tire dealer ive been to before and had them mount and balance them.Any high speed balance machine will do a good job,ymmv but I paid $10 a tire.Keep in mind though if you hope to collect on some tire makers treadwear warranty down the road...(doubtful) that youll have to go to a dealer of that brand to have them mount the tires for you,and document all rotations,etc...
