I'm pretty sure this is a repost, but the old thread is probably gone. Outpost isn't the cheapest place in the world, but free shipping is always nice.

I've always found Outpost.com to be competitively priced. The free shipping or at cost shipping is always a
nice thing. Sometimes its the cost of shipping that makes a hot deal not such a hot deal. Case in point,
BMG Music. They charge $2.69 for the 1st disk, $2.59 for the second, and $2.49 for each additional CD ordered.
Then they ship you your disks via USPS with is like 4 bucks for up to two pounds. Bunch of ripoff artists.

$1300 shipped is nice, especially for us California folk, who won't need to pay tax, since Outpost is out of state.

What's so different about that? ALL online retailers charge tax in the states they have a business presence in.

Ordered from them last week. Shipped to Texas. No sales tax charged.

I called today to see if they would refund my $6 shipping charge and was told that the free shipping was for new customers only. When I tried to point out that the web site didn't mention that, he said he couldn't find the offer. I may try back later to see if I can get a more agreeable CSR.

Update: I just read the page more carefully, and it does say "our valued new customer". Should've set up a new account.
