Free Slurpee at 7/11 this sunday the 11th

and see no mention of that.

Was wondering that myself. Maybe the OP misread it when s/he saw this:

"consumers are showing their approval with more than 1,000 people, on average, shopping in the stores each day."

However, it does say "While supplies last. Limited quantities available."

I started putting slurpee in my Xtreme Gulp this year, when I realized I didn't just have to fill
from the fountain drinks. (a fountain refill is 79 cents).

At the 7-11s that notice (or the one close to work, where I tell them its a slurpee refill) its goes
up to $1.09. Still a good deal if you catch the slurpee machines at just the right time.
(if the slurpee is too thin, it melts back into soda; if its too thick, you end up with a sno-cone).

Surprised the heck out of me a week or two back, when they didn't charge at all for my slurpee run.
(must have been for the 4th of July holiday).

i just got back from 7-11. got there around 12:15, and the guy was opening a box of the little cups for us to use. i didn't see a sign anywhere the store about the free slurpees, so i guess most people going will have no idea.

the two places i went both said the promotion started at 8am...i got there around 12:30am.....

the first guy turned me down and told me to leave if i wasnt going to buy anything...
the second guy was nicer and explained they were waiting for the trucks to deliver the 7.11oz cups for the free slurpee (and the trucks were due around 8am). i convinced him to give free slurpees for me and my friends anyway, so he gave us the free ones in the complementary cups which are 12oz!!! nice guy.

yes it was a small cup, but the they let me drink as much i wanted to.
so i think i drank about... 7 or 8 cups of it...

I went to 3 7/11's. At the first one the guy acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about until I told him it was posted on their website, after which he busted out the cups from under the counter. At the 2nd one, the guy had an attitude problem and started yelling when we grabbed the free cups ourselves. He told us we shoul have "asked" for the free cups. At the third one the guy was nice.

I took my 10 and 11 year old cousins so it was fun and free!.
