haha, ok, hit Quiznos for a 3rd time, asked if they intend to continue to take the coupon and the guy gave me a confident 'yes'. Hopefully if the day comes they stop taking them they put a sign out, cause I only asked once 1st day if they were participating and I don't wanna look like an ass everyday asking before I order my food. Nor do I want to be an ass and leave my food at the counter cause they won't accept it. If I go in one day and can't use one, I'll just get a bigger sub and forget the chips. I can't believe you people would talk about going back to subway, blah, subway is no cheaper. All I say is don't start hating on the place just cause they won't participate, it IS up to the individual locations.

Friend and I ate lunch using these coupons today, total was under $5.00 - canadian dollars!

Now that's a hot deal. I'm usually impressed if I can get lunch for myself under $5.00.

So far I've been to three Quizno's. In Palo Alto, Cupertino and Mountain View. The prices all all different at all the stores. Regardless, they all took the coupon without any hassle.

Quizno's makes a pretty good product, better than Subway and Blimpy's. But the ones to watch, in my opinion is Jersey Mike's and Penn Station. Both put out absolutely outstanding subs. Also, for crazy coupon stories, Jersey Mikes in Louisville, did a newspaper coupon a few weeks ago that offered a free sub for two days (I think they must have done it as a way of training their new crews). That was it, a free sub, no other purchase required. I lined up with the rest of the unbelievers and asked what was the catch and they said only that you couldn't order the party size otherwise get want you wanted.

Quiznos should have distributed the coupon in a different manner if they are concerned with abuse. If you ask me, not participating, or discontinuing the promo is a total copout on Quiznos part.

You're joking, right?

Out of all fast food coupons i've seen, franchises have a right to not accept coupons.

If corporate said "don't accept coupons", that'd be another thing, but they haven't done that yet.

The only quiznos around me that will accept it is a 30min drive. :frown:
If it was for a bigger sub, it would be worth it.

No, I am not joking. Not participating is a copout. Changing your participation midstream is a major copout. Of course they have the right to not participate, but I personally have never seen any franchise, of any kind refuse to honor a national coupon. This is the first, and I use alot of couupons.

I suggest you have them make the sandwich and present the coupon when you're about to pay. If they say they won't accept it, then it's far worse for them as they've already made the sandwich. I am speculating here when I say this but I believe most restaurants (fast food joints) will throw the food away if the customer doesn't want it so they'll give it to you for the cost of the drink and the chips.

Great, works here in San Jose CA. The quiznos on Capitol Expressway takes it with ease. No problems there!

If someone puts a tray of cookies in front of you, you should take ONE and say thanks and pass it along. Its impolite to sweep the entire tray into you lap and demand more. When people abuse coupons, the franchisee loses money hand over fist.

Eat up but have some self-control and pity on the poor guy trying to make a living.

The one behind Albertsons by Costco. They stopped taking them some time over the weekend. It worked last Wednesday, but when I went in yesterday (Sunday), they had a sign up saying they didn't take them anymore. Does the Calle Real one still take them?

sorry, but I am not buying it that the cost of a soda, chips, and a sub is over $4 to quiznos.

it just doesn't make any sense, you're buying all your stuff at wholesale.

and i really dont feel sorry for a franchise that is losing money because of a corporate coupon. If you dont like it, then you dont hae to honor it... but dont honor then whine later.

all i see happening is pissed off managers who aren't MAKING AS MUCH as they would have, and therefore they get upset. However I firmly believe that these stores ARE STILL MAKING MONEY with each use of the coupon and so therefore i will not hesitate to use it.

soda = .02 or maybe even free.... it really doesn't cost much to give soda
chips = .25 i am just guessing here... but WE get bags of chips for .50 and we dont buy wholesale....
this leaves about:
sandwhich = up to 3.50

maybe the numbers are off a little but i am sorry... the sandwhich doesn't cost 3.50. And yes i understand that if for one hour all you have done is sell sandwhiches WITH coupons then you have probably lost money due to labor cost and electricity etc... however we both know that not everyone who goes into the store is using a coupon.

i managed a large golf store for two years... we hated it when we had large national deals to honor because the profit was so small we almost wasted our time, HOWEVER even during huge sales we still had morons coming in and paying full price for equivalent products all the time.

The store by where I work will let you upgrade to the medium or large sub if you pay the price difference between the small sub and the upgrade. I usually go to the medium - I still walk out of there with a lunch less than $4....

Right, because corporate can really control whether an individual franchise will cop out and refuse coupons.
