There is a picture of a mouse pad with a lot of advertising on it.

yah...i have a couple of these smartpads i bought for clearance from COMPUSA a while back for $5 each...it takes up a USB port and has buttons on the pad to click for quick access to shopping sites....pretty lame...but i heard u can hack the smartcard that comes with it and use it as a security tool or something...

It sounds like this is the same "Smart Pad" that was 100% rebate through ComPUSA about a year ago. IF it is the same then it is an ordinary but oversized mouse pad with a handful of buttons around the outside edge. It connects to your PC via USB and a load of installed software. The buttons can be programmed to send you to selected web pages. I never had the nerve to install the software. There is (or at least was) a web page for the folks who came up with this idea. Truly a questionable idea.
