Free Software Giveaway of the Day

They seem to change the free application daily around midnight Pacific Coast time.

I've installed some downloads from this site & neither Lavasoft Ad-Aware nor Kaspersky 6 have found any bad things lurking in them.

I'm not sure WHY they give software away, unless maybe to sell adverts on their site, but that's only a guess.

Just got in and tried to download the software and the site timed out again. Getting hammered I would guess.

FINALLY. I got it, installed it and activated it. Haven't used it yet but free is good!

Don't forget the companion game giveaway site http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/ too. These giveaways have to be installed and activated on the giveaway day to function and be free. Just in case someone thinks they can download one day and use another.

Today is a piece of software called "sticky password". It's basically a keychain for passwords.

I think I recall seeing another program like this, which is freeware, on that "30 pieces of free software you need to get" thread.

What am I missing? I don't find the instructions for "activating" the software. All I get are 60 minute trials. Is that all there is?

Never mind -- found it! The zip file includes an "activation" file. Just clicked and ran it and the full version, without expiration, was available.

Try KeePass. It's good, updates occasionally, and is open source....so its FREE
