I found this as an old expired thread back in October, I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder...But hopefully someone enjoys!

I just signed up and all seemed to go well. SN's isn't SI or even ESPN the Mag, but it's got some interesting stuff.

There should also be offers for free Antique Mag and Art in America.

I got my second issue a few days ago from the previous thread, although to be honest I think the magazine is pretty shallow and basically sucks, although keeps you up on some of the latest sports tidbits.

yeah, I was talking to a friend wishing it was SI or ESPN the Mag for free. That definately would be better. But, it's got some content..and it is sports.

Glad a couple of people got use out of it.

simply authorize a one time use card # for a $1 and your all set, works for me every time

Sorry, I tried to make that clear. The account creation process is ONLY so you have a user name to see the deal. Right after you create your ID on the first screen, it'll take you to the page asking for CC info or whatever. No problem here! If you just look around the page I believe in the upper right hand corner it's got "login" or something as an option. Just click that link without EVER putting in any CC #. Then when you get to that page, login as it says and you should either see the free mag deals, or follow the link I provided to see them.

Basically you never "complete" your registration and therefore never have to put in a CC #. The only way I can see it ever coming up is if you decided to actually buy one from them. I'm sure at that point you'd have to supply a #.

I certainly wouldn't have posted it as a hot deal or a freebie if you had to give up the CC. Would not be cool!

So, now that you're empowered...you should be good to sign up if you choose with no CC needed.

Thanks for the deal, x94blair3, followed directions, and didn't have to give up CC#.

Free is good, I have gotten SN before, it is great if you are running Fantasy teams, lots of stats, esp baseball, but not the stories that SI has.
