Who is the CA that signs these certificates? I'm assuming it's surpasshosting.com which is not a built-in CA for IE or Firefox which makes this cert basically worthless. The only certificates that are really worth anything are ones signed by one of the default CAs that come loaded in browsers. Anyone can download OpenSSL and create unlimited certificates for free that are as valid as certificates created and signed by surpasshosting.

They could be providing you with an intermediate cert too to get around that. Not sure 100% though.
