Well, I use Thunderbird, which doesn't care what folder Google puts it in... but just in case, I double-checked through gmail's web client and it wasn't in the Promotions tab.

I got the confirmation e-mail, and clicked that through - just nothing since.

I click on the 'redeem prize' button, and nothing happens. Tried with different browsers as well.

I unsubscribed then clicked redeem prize, got the email and clicked to verify and that is when I think I got the message. Either that or it was right after I clicked redeem prize.

Are you sure it's a different key? I just received a last chance reminder emails about the 2nd bundle but it was the same key I originally received.
