free tv software for ppl sick of ATI

Dscaler Ati TV just doesnt do it for me.
Besides this is free, has a zillion settings (many which i still dont understand) , But no more
jerky screens for me

ATI software works much better than this piece of freeware. Sharper picture, brighter colors, etc. Guess you get what you pay for, and DScaler is priced at what it's worth.

The July 2001 driver from ATI BLOWS, but if you go to ATI.com there is a new driver posted. I believe it's beta but has to be better than the POS driver they SAID worked with XP.

DScaler (earlier called dTV) works only with ATI Wonder ... not with ATI All In Wonder. See supported cards. It is really made for frontend projectors so that artifacts don't show even when you blow up the image to 9' wide. You an take a look at AVSForum's HTPC Forum.

DScaler has always worked great on my Avermedia tuner + remote. It removes interlacing effectively line-doubling it to 480p

then newest xp driver from beginning of august thrashed my setup on my aiw 128 8500,
so I'm stuck with the june one, ati software blows chunks it is so bad, try powervcr or virtualdub,
all have free demos and are well worth the price for the full version

I use DScaler all the time with my Conexant based TV card. Picture looks great.

I could never get my tv wonder card to work with my ATI radeon ddr 64mb vivo card ever since I upgraded to XP.
I've been using this software with my card, it works great!

I've used Cyberlink PowerVCR which is a GREAT program. Compared to the the ATI software you can ACTUALLY record stuff! The ATI junk software has like a 300% frame loss, called ATI they told me my system wasn't fast enough (AthlonXP 1800, 512mb ddr, 2x 80gb drives in RAID0). PowerVCR I don't get ANY frameloss. I'm sorry I just installed the ATI just for the not so impressive drivers, and use PowerVCR for everything else.

DSCALER is a much better software than the one bundled with my pinnacle tv tuner card...there is so much jaggies and crap when there is motion. The software is a piece of junk. Pinnacle systems is a terrible company. I would never buy from them again.

I use the ATI software on my TV Wonder VE card with no probs. but I cant tell you how many people
ask me how I ever got it to work. I've tried this card in 4 differ boxes it wouldn't work in 2 of them
for the life of me it worked in my AOpen AK77-333 and my ECS K7S5A but would not work
in my Asus A7A266 (neither would a PCTV thats why I bought the ATI but that didnt work either)
and it didnt work in my wifes Gateway P3 450 system
but all this is under windoze 98. but I get good quality caps with it using my own record settings

Dscaler is much better looking than ATI Software for me, but I just use the ATI software anyway because I record stuff with it most of the day and if I use Dscaler and something tried to start recording, it won't work..I wish I could schedule record with Dscaler, and use Guide+ with it..oh well, maybe ATI will improve the quality.

Why is it that you can have huge billion dollar companies like ATI and Pnnacle, with all their resources put out crap for drivers, and then a small team comes together and creates something extraordinary like DScaler?

I got my ATI TV WONDER works fine on Dscaler..

DScalar doesn't work with my ATI TV Wonder USB. Oh well, I like my Guide+ software.

When i close Dscaler, for some reason i still get the audio . Ati tv doesnt show this problem. Does any one else have this problem too?
