I posted this over at OT and them ungrateful bastages said it's not hot... oh well... two 1.1 hubs for $10.95 total (shipping, and no tax on the shipping). I can't complain.

Well, they're not exactly free per se, you still have shipping to pay. But the product is free though.

Mice should work through bus-powered hubs. I have a Microsoft optical wheel mouse (this one) that works just fine when connected through a 4-port mini-hub. I wouldn't think the power consumption of an IntelliMouse would be so much greater that it wouldn't also work.
