Do you really think they offered this deal without considering that some people would be using the supplies as moving boxes etc?

There was also a couple fairly good points made earlier in the post as to why this was not going to raise rates.

edit:
1. They will be making money off of the people who ARE using them for the intended purpose.
2. They said rates will not be going up until at least 2006.
3. These supplies are inexpensive enough to make points 1 and 2 reasonable.

An EXCELLENT example of someone that either does not read or cannot understand what they read. Simple as that.
And thank you ynotravid, you're right on the money.

I found mail stickers but I didn't find any rolls of tape.

I would love to order 50 rolls of tape if they are clear or strapping tape.

I just don't want to order tape if is full of all the USPS logo on it.

Can somebody who has received it clarify it's appearance and
maybe provide a link for me?

Thanks

They don't give out the rolls of tape for free anymore because of people abusing it (ordering too many rolls). The tape should only be used for packing and sealing USPS packages, not for personal use. One roll usually lasts around 100 boxes. I doubt you would really need 50 rolls of tape if you were only using it for packaging USPS shipments.

And no, the tape is not clear. It has the USPS logo on it.

I have a question though. Once in a while I ship to Canada. I don't have any small plain boxes and the Global Priority Mail boxes are too big. Since the Small Priority boxes are the perfect size for what I ship, I'd like to use those for shipping to Canada also, but since they say Priority Mail on them I can't ship them internationally. One time I forgot that the thing I was packaging was going to Canada, and I used the Priority Mail box. When I got to the post office, the lady pointed out that I used a wrong box, so she took around 4 of these Global Priority Mail stickers and just cut the Global Priority Mail logo (the top of the sticker) and stuck them on top of the Priority Mail logos. My question is, do you think I can or should do this when I need to ship to Canada? Or do you think the person at the post office may not allow it and possibly detain and question me (like the guy in the story posted earlier) lol.

So it was sent by global priority to Canada? It may be OK that way, I don't know for sure how global priority ranks in the usps system. But I do know that usps encourages you to use the priority mail boxes if sending via express mail, as it's the highest form of usps service and therefore it's apparently okay to use the lesser classification of boxes provided by usps, just need to make sure the labeling is all in order so nothing gets missorted.
