It's against federal law to use these for moving instead of to mail things through USPS.

Whose gonna know?

You can walk into a huge supermarket and sneak out a small packet of gum, who's gonna know?

IT'S JUST NOT DONE.

We post hot deals so we can buy things legally for a great price.
We don't post baits for abuse of the legal system.

What if you received a order from someone using a USPS Priority Mail Box and you decide to flip it over and reuse it. Are you allow to do that.

Nice thanks. I love free useful stuff like this. Everyone please just take what you need. Better for all of us that way. Thanks a bunch!

why do some people get more than like 5 rolls of tape with their order? You guys realize that one roll of tape will be enough for at least 100 boxes. The OP who got 50 rolls of tape will have 49 of them sitting there. I've been ordering supplies for a while now from usps and seriously, 1 roll is a lot of tape.

It is a deal for those that are legit and sell mass volumes and ship via USPS Priority.

But those that are ordering tons of it just because... or just to see if they'll get it... or to try to flip the boxes inside/out for their own use are the ones abusing it.

Like several have said, if you end up with extras (or were a jerk and ordered a TON) go give them back to your local post office. Sometimes their stock isn't replenished as often as you might think.

no, which goes back to the posts above about flipping the boxes so the logos do not show. Whatever boxes you get, you must use them for that service, and none other, or its a violation of the agreement, and technically breaking a federal law.

Any boxes I've gotten recently have been printed "USPS Priority Mail" on the inside too.

If it says Priority mail, it HAS to go priority mail. I think it's more of the case where they don't want to confuse the package sorters because a first class package is in a priority mail box.

I got the wrong book from a bookstore online, rather then rebox it, I just used the box it came in (a priority mail box) to mail it back. The return label I printed however, was for media mail. The guy at the post office said they can't ship stuff marked priority mail any other way, because it confuses the package handlers and they don't want a media mail box getting shipped priority mail by accident.

I wish they would send regular brown boxes. Priority can get expensive for heavier items but I usually prefer USPS because an office is just about located everywhere! Otherwise, I'd probably go with UPS or Fedex if they were closer.

Go to ups.com & there's a page where you can request plain, brown, unstamped boxes. I think there are only 2 sizes available. The smaller one can fit several dvds or cassettes, while the larger one, is a little bigger than the standard rectangle priority boxes. They come in big boxes of 50, & are absolutely free.

Can't find it. Link or instructions?

here you go...

I just wanted to add this in, to those that are ABUSING this privilege, please do not ...

I mail quite a bit of stuff, like in the neighborhood of 10-15 packages per day, via USPS Priority mail for my business ... these free supplies can almost be a small miracle for small businesses like myself ... for example the 12x12x6 box that they offer FREE costs $1.69 at OfficeMax for one ... if I ship 10 items at that size per week, that means I would normally be using $16.90 (+ 6% PA Sales Tax = $1.01) worth of my bottom line to purchase shipping supplies, this may not seem like much but over a year that equates out to like $878.80 (+ 6% PA Sales Tax = $52.73) ... again this is my part time business so losing nearly $1000 @ year would just "hurt" my bottom line and any extra income I bring into my family ...

My post office is very grateful for the amount of business, and amount of money I spend per year on Priority Mail shipments ... plus if and when I have extra supplies (such as the time they sent me 10 rolls of the priority mail tape) ... I took it back to my local P.O. and they were pleased because they will readily use it quicker than I would ... and I have been told by my local post master that because people ARE abusing the system and using the boxes for storage, moving, turning them inside out and shipping media mai/parcel post, using them for trash recepticles, etc., the USPS is considering switching to a FEE for these items when ordered in bulk and also when used at the post office ...

Just my $0.02 but probably worth less than that to those that are abusing the system ...

That used to be easy to do but they've started printing 'USPS Priority' all over the insides of the boxes.

Do they have larger boxes available?

I can't navigate to find any boxes on their site.
Your links do take me right to those pages.
However, I don't see any on their "For Sale" page when I navigate without your links.

Thanks

They should charge for these and maybe they wont be in "debt" every year. And have to keep raising prices for people abusing. Im not suggesting charging a lot for them. But enough where someone wont order them to say?? Heat their house in a wood burning stove with the boxes.
