ripped from tech bargains. Check this deal out. Looks fishy but if it comes thorugh looks totally hot. Have any of you guys heard of this deal? let me know any information you guys find out please I really want one but i am too paranoid.
BTW guys, the techbargain post says the Domain name of the site is bogus. What does that mean?

They locked the original thread about the $20 edge. Sure it probably is a scam but since there are a good number of anandtech people that tossed in a few bucks then why cant anandtech allow a discussion about the deal (or discussion on getting money back if it turns out bad). I just dont get why anandtech locks certain threads without at least posting an explanation. Then copycat threads like these wouldnt keep popping up.

Well here is a junior member defending another. Why must you guys get so abusive?? It is very hard to find threads here. I never have time to go through more than forty of sixty at a shot and a new threads very often gets buried. Even if I'd want to post in the I wanna thread it is gone most of the time and I don't have time to look for it. I see nothing wrong with someone reposting somethign already posted and it may be a good idea for some of you to welcome people instead of yelling at them. I remember my first post here (http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=40&threadid=399251&highlight_key=y) asking a simple question and someone was very very rude to me(by the name of lint21). If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at allbut it would be nice for some of you high and mighty "great members " to remember you were new once too. I do realize that most of you are nice and not abusive-even in this thread but this post is for those of you who are not.

I spoke with "Abe" at PDA Offer.com. He told me the company had contracted with a manufacturer to produce HandSpring replicas.

He could not give me the company's mailing address.

He couldn't even put any one else on the line.

This is crap. Cancel your order. HandSpring has no knowledge of this transaction.

Ok, Techbargains has updated their post about the free pda's and in it they state that Handspring thinks it's legit. It even posts Handsprings phone number. I made the original post on the locked thread and I am in it. I used a good CC so I can dispute it if it ends up being a scam.
