Techbargains says Handspring thinks it's legit but this is really fishy. We'll all have to wait and see.

I want to know what fool at Handspring's toll free number said this. Not exactly very responsible. As if Handspring is allowed to think it is legit. They manufacture and sell the Edge so they should know about a 500,000 unit order and whether the deal is legit. I wonder how many more people were suckered in due to that careless Handspring response. . . .

Ok, I think it's very obvious that this is a scam. First the 773 is in Chicago, IL but why is their fax number in Spokane, WA. Second, if a company has enough capital to make and distribute 500K Handspring replicas, can't they afford to have a toll-free number or at least someone other than &quot;Abe&quot; working for them. Third, large companies usually don't use CCNow, they have their own merchant software, I ran a small company and I had my own merchant software. I doubt a large company would pay 20% to CCNow for their &quot;troubles&quot; when Visa/MC only charges 2.2% to respected merchants. But I could be wrong... then again, I'm not waiting for my $26 Nomad to show up either.
