The cheapest thing on the list is an $8 1-month Live subscription card, but considering that 1 year live cards can be gotten for less than $2.50/month, I think buying a 1600 MS point card for $20 is a better deal.

Saw this early this morning, wanted to get a 1600 Point card anyway, so ordered the card. Gonna save me $18 on movie tickets, as wanted to go see the movie anyway.

I notice it says "participating theatres" yet I can find no list indicating theatres which are participating. In particular I am wondering about Memphis area malco theatres. Also, do these count as passes or work exactly like tickets?

Unfortunately you need a promo code to check theaters - I'm going to pick up my items around 4 PM EST, so I can run some checks then, but supposedly they will reimburse you the cost of tickets if there are no theaters near you. More details when I actually get hold of this thing.

OK, I have the full scoop on this now. When you get this pack at Best Buy, it comes in a green DVD case that looks like an Xbox game. There are only 2 items of interest in the case:

1. Redemption code for Xbox live download. When I entered this, it queued up a Watchmen trailer download. Big deal.
2. Most importantly, redemption code for Watchmen tickets.

A quick tip about printing out your movie ticket: use a color printer. The morons at the theater closest to me wouldn't take my printout from my laser printer because they thought it was a copy. And if your theater still doesn't take it, hollywood movie money will reimburse you as long as you have the ticket they refused and the name of the manager working at the place.

as an aside, the offer comes in a game case and is located with the xbox games. I made the mistake of thinking they would have them at the register and had to walk back.
