That's not the fault of the "Holy Spirit." That's the fault of all the "fallen" humans misunderstanding what they're being told.

Except for Pray To Jesus, though. He's the only one who interprets the Holy Spirit correctly.

The Holy Spirit does guide us but there are many things that need done in this world from feeding the hungry and taking care of the homeless....etc...

Just because the Holy spirit might be leading you to work with immigrants does not mean that Holy Spirit will not lead somebody else to work with the poor...

Then its just like a cell phone connection you have good and bad connections...

there are things in our lives that hinder the moving of the spirit from working in our lives...

Am I? If the "Holy Spirit" can only reveal Scripture, but "Sin" prevents people from understanding it, then how can Pray be so adamant that the non-Christian can't understand Scripture. It seems to me that no one can ever be sure they understand it.

Throughout history, God has demonstrably tended to favor the unassuming and humble in the world. The Jewish people were delivered from the mighty Egyptians. They had several ups and downs throughout the way, but they considered themselves to be His chosen people. Then Jesus came along, and since He was rejected by the Jewish people, He preached to the gentiles - those who were considered less in society. This should be a constant reminder not to assume too much, and not to place ourselves above our fellow man.

I believe the proper understanding of this is that the Holy Spirit goes where it desires, and God works in the world through and for Christians and non-Christians alike. Likewise, salvation wasn't offered exclusively for any sect or denomination, as God has revealed it is an open invitation for all who choose to accept it. Further, I believe there is also an esoteric message tucked away in scripture concerning the redemption of the fallen and the 'lost sheep'.

"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." - John 3:8

It really is a hard concept to truly understand. When I asked God about this, He taught me in a flash of realization of the truth. It's impossible for me to replicate that experience to share with others.

You really can't expect others to accept your beliefs as truths solely based on your assertion that "god told you so". If a "flash of realization" means that you have no repeatable logical thought process for arriving at your truth, then it is hard to see how you can show the rest of us how to arrive at your same conclusion.

I have the same problems accepting the beliefs of those who sincerely claim that they have been abducted by aliens. Without any other supporting evidence, their bizarre recountings of alien encounters from "personal experience" are hard to take seriously. There's a very small possibility that some of these encounters might actually have happened, but it seems much more likely that nothing of the sort has actually ever taken place.

I wonder if you are willing to accept another person's belief (such as an alien encounter) as being true on the basis of his/her claimed personal experience?

That is another reason the scriptures makes references to by their faith ye shall know them.....
That is also another reason Christians need to live what they believe. By living what you believe you are putting the burden on those who see your life and that you really are living what you believe!
