This deal has been pretty much proven legit, the thing is by now if you
have not completed the vids you're very likely out of luck. Got hit hard,
and there's limited supply. Just my 2 cents.

hmm, I already signed up and am now worried it could be a scam. With all that information if it isnt legit and I supply my SSN my identity could be stolen. I also went searching on google and came up empty. I am definately concerned. One hell of a scam if it is an identity theft scheme.
Solution is don't be greedy and ask for both. The only reason they even need tax forms is because the value on both is over the allowed gift value to be tax free.

So, those who are concerned about paying taxes on the software: Can't you register and sign up for one before the end of this year, and then register the 2nd title after January 1 2007? You won't exceed $600 in a single year, unless they're not talking about calendar years.

FINALLY... as to the 'tax' thing ...
... can't you take delivery before Dec 31 of one product and delivery of the other in Jan?
that would eliminate the tax liability.
[you might get them both in Jan ... so that wouldn't work]
anyway, good luck to you guys that signed up
[i am stuck with dialup ... forget it for me]

You're right about gifts being nontaxable to recipients, but calling payments in the course of business "gifts" doesn't mean that they are nontaxable gifts within the meaning of the law.
