Free Windows Vista Business & Office Professional 2007 ?

Yeah I'm having this problem, I havn't been able to get into the Vista side since last night. Luckily I've watched all the videos, but I wanted to check on my status. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about why some people can access it and others can't, as it doesn't really seem to make much sense. I've tried often enough today where if it were just the site being busy I would have gotten in, or a lot more people would be complaining about it.

same here; I registered in time and watched three videos, and I had one complete and two pending (I would imagine by now all three would say complete).

I just hope they have copies for everyone who got in before they closed registration.

I had the same problem with the Vista side and couldn't log on, while all was OK on the Office side. That seems to happen late in the day. Also at around 4AM it was also "dead". But early this afternoon all was good on both sides and I got in and my status was what it was supposed to be, complete on 2 and pending on the other one. So I wouldn't be concerned if you registered and selected the three "lessons" before they closed it off. Just try every so often and one time you will get in.

How long does it say "PENDING" for? I've watched 2 out of 3 so far, and it still says Pending for both. Does it just take a while?

How do you stream the movies? I can only get it to download, and thus the status stays at pending (cant watch the others without cancelling the pending one...)???

Still waiting for my confirmation email..... It's been over 24 hours since all three went to completed. Although it does say this at the bottom of the My Stuff page:

"Congratulations! You?ve completed the number of Webcasts required to receive a free, fully-licensed copy of Windows Vista Business. Once we?ve confirmed that you meet the eligibility requirements stated in the offer details below we will ship your gift within 6-8 weeks of the release to manufacturing of Windows Vista. While you?re waiting, why not check out additional Webcasts to further your skills?"

Not sure what's going on.

If you d/l the video rather than stream it, you have to wait about an hour or so and it'll switch from In Progress to Pending. If not, just log out & back in.

It'll be pending for the amount of time it should take you to watch the video. Some of them are actually pretty interesting.

It was a bit of a pain to actually get through but I finally did through perserverence. At least we know it is legit.

I've seen alot of you ask how long it takes for updates. Here's my experience :

Learned about it on the 28th, spent 5 hours continually clicking play and having various errors come in on me while trying to get to/watch the 3 webcasts. I finally saw all three and it said pending.

On the 29th, I tried to access my status on the server for Vista - vsd.powertogether.com and it was down almost all day.

Today I see that I have the updated status of completed. I just now got the confirmation e-mail thanking me for registering for the 3 vids that I watched two days ago. That should tell you what speed things are going at.

Technically this was only supposed to be for software developers but that's very hard to enforce

Good question....I hadn't even thought of that...I would want the 64-bit version but I'm sure we'll get the 32-bit...that's a bummer...is it possible that both versions are on the same disc?

Pdawg1717, looks like Vista contains both 32-bit and 64-bit in one DVD.

Seemingly not; a couple of my webcasts seem to have gone to "COMPLETE" without
my (yet) doing the surveys.

That said, I made it a point to do them for the most part of the ones I viewed
since it was requested and couldn't hurt to do 'em.

The only AT "hot deal" that I "participated" in from MS that didn't work out was one for people in India and not for the US. Every other promotion/deal/rebate from MS I tried worked out 100%.

at the site it mentions that you will get the software "within 6-8 weeks of the it?s release to manufacturing". Anyone know when/how long that will actually be.

I was able to qualify for the Office before it sold out.

Both Vista and Office are marked as Sold Out. Deal is DEAD.
