Most VNC derivatives use more or less the same service. This allows different VNC viewers to connect to PCs that run ?different? VNC server services. For example if a PC is running real VNC server one can still use Ultra VNC's viewer to connect. That works the other way around too. Currently real VNC does not support Vista but Ultra VNC does. One can gain access to a Vista machine using Real VNC's viewer provided that the Vista machine runs Ultra VNC's server.

Install it

I just really want the register, account reconciliation feature, and the ability to run very simple reports. (Yes I know about Quicken Online, but I'm old-fashioned and don't know how I feel about having my financial information stored somewhere other than on my own computer.)

Don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread (search is broken) but CloneZilla is a great free alternative to Norton Ghost. It does what the old Ghost would do in imaging and copying partitions offline from a boot disk.

thanks, that is what i needed and what brought me to this thread. I will have to check it out. i want to reinstall Win7 beta but when I tried it before it hung and I was never able to reboot WinXP until I did a new install, I want to avoid that again.

Try WinDirStat.
I am not sure if it has all the features you asked for.

no cpu-z? speed fan? orthos? prime 95? oh ultramon is a awesome program for dual using dual screens. Also maybe include some HDD image/backups software on the list. Other then that great, I use a ton of those programs already
