I got an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, with AC Freezer64 mounted on the CPU. I also have X800XL cooled by Zalman VF700-CU. With the mounting screws and backbracket on the back of the video card, there is still nicely room in my system, both fitting (Zalman VF700-CU and ACFR64) well on my motherboard.
I quickly googled with HIS X800XL, and from the pictures it seems like the cards screws on the back aren't that much higher than the Zalmans mounting screws and backbracket on the back of the video card.

Please allow me to bother you with a few questions.
What CPU do you have? What kind of temperature readings are you getting with the AC Freezer64 (when your CPU's idling and when it's on load)? What's your case temperature?

I have a A64 3500+ Winchester and I usually run it stock speeds, without Cool'n'Quiet. I don't have/know exact ambient case temperature, but the motherboard monitor (MBM5) shows the motherboard temperature 32-33c while idling and around 34c-36c at maximum load. CPU is usually around 34-36 while idling and between 44-47 on load (47 after few hours of Prime95). I've never seen it go over 47. But I don't keep checking the temperatures that often (when I don't need to), so there might be some variation.
I used the reference thermal paste at first (for a month), but then I had to change the paste after I took off the motherboard to replace my chipset Heatsink. The original paste actually gave me better temperatures than my current Arctic Silver 5, which caused my temperatures to go up around 1-2 degrees celsius.

Thanx, mauri. I now know there's around 1,5 cm space between a regular video card and the Freezer64 on a A8N-SLI (I asked the friendly guy with this set-up: http://www.biesma.demon.nl/a8n-sli/a8n-sli+freezer.JPG). The mounting screws of the VF700-CU look a bit smaller compared to those on the HIS X800XL, though:

So, I'm curious how long the Zalman screws are. If they appear to be 1,5 cm, then it's a definitive no-go for the HIS-Freezer64 combination. If the Zalmans are less than - let's say - 1,0 cm, then there's still hope
