Freezer 7 Pro + Artic Silver Core2Duo E6300 - What should temps be?

Without overclocking? Those temps are high. Remove the heatsink, clean off the thermal paste and re-apply a small amount to the center of your chip. Place the heatsink back on, and twist it side to side to get an even spread.

My temps were a little lower, but I was cooling my chip differently (granted, it was at 3.36GHz). Doesn't sound *too* bad, but I would try re-applying the thermal paste anyways.

47 idle still seems too high
i got the AC Freezer 7 and i idled at around 24-25 at 3.0Ghz (E6600). I agree with LoKe; try re-applying the thermal paste, or bring it back down to stock speeds and see what your temps are.

At idle, I am at about 40-43, but my fan never spins up past 1000 rpm. When I game, my temps get up to about 50-53, but the fan doesn't spin past 1400. With the fan at 100%, I run about 48 Orthos full load and 35 idle

6400 @ 3.2 but very similar situations.

Maybe I just suck at putting on the AS, but the temps are right back to where they were after reapplying.

I have the P180b with the front, lower, back, and top 120mm fans. I run them on medium. I have the middle drive cage out so there is plenty of room even with the gts640 in there.

Maybe I will try it one more time, but this along with the other stupidity (Updated bios could no longer overclock, went back to old bios and can't go above 2.8????) of the p5ne sli is about to make me switch motherboards.
