I just replaced my nvidia card with an ati 9800. Im running gentoo so I did a emerge ati-drivers and edited xf86config to use radeon drivers. Now whenever I gnome or xterm the logo pops up and my computer freezes. Anyone know how to fix this problem?
Also since this graphic update my computer now boots in gnomes graphical login, how can I get back to having it boot to plain command line login. Thanks
