Friend's 2.4C @ 4.2 on Water

Hi Guys.

He's running an ABIT IC7 and yeah, 350 FSB. Read through some of the posts and I apologize if you don't believe me but he had his rig in work today and he really is running @ 4.2 on a Koolance Waterblock. I was drooling, personally. He is gonna sign up here to tonight and field anymore questions everyone may have about this amazing achievement. Let's all quiz his a$$ when he makes his appearance. =)

4.2 on a Koolance....I mean I am experimenting with a Koolance and don't think there's anyway this could be true...his temps must be terrible, like 60+ degrees Idle...I like the Bull Sh*t call myself....must be a misunderstanding.

IMO....

Getting 4.2 seems possible for a Nwood core, but getting a board to run at 350 FSB is a huge stretch. Hell...you would have solar flares coming off the Northbridge at that speed....

I don't usually post on this forum but I have to call this BS too...

macci got a 2.4C to 4.3 GHz on a Albatron PX865PE Pro (365 MHz FSB) but that required a custom built R404 cooler and a 50W TEC on the Northbridge.

What is your friend using on teh Northbridge, what type of memory (and voltage) is he using? Highest I've gone is 340 MHz with my i875P watercooled.

I'll admit, the 2.4c are some pretty nice chips. Hell, I want one and I've never owned an intel chip, but this guy full of $hit! I think he has a George Foreman grill, even with the h2o if it's real...

2.4C @ 4.01 GHz (chip does higher but no pic's yet) have to run memory at 3-4-4-8 with PAT disabled so performance sucks.

I'd love to see how a 2.4C @ 4.2 GHz on water would do.
