For the power supply, I doubt this computer is ever going to draw more than 200 watts

Dude...... Socket 939 mobo. It doesn't support DDR2!! You are also not going to get an SLI setup to run on a mere 200 watts!

Also on the hard drive side why are you sticking with IDE?? The mobo has an SATA controller so use it! My recommendation is this Seagate. Still 250GB and comes with a 5 year warrenty.
Lastly round it out with a nice cheap DVD burner.

The PSU I linked in the P150 comes with a 24pin ATX cable. Its a modern fully functional PSU.

EDIT: Also looks like newegg has a $50 instant rebate on this Gskill DDR2-800 ram.

Only $199 for 2GB

Alright, I've got with Twsmit's build, except with an Antec NeoHE PSU. What I need now are recommendations for 3x 17" monitors. I linked to a couple in the bottom of my first post. What do you guys think?

I think he should buy the nicest monitors he can afford. If he can afford very expensive ones, he won't regret it. If he can only afford $169 ones, well, anything's better than nothing.

Ummm the Antec P150 comes with an Antec HE 430watt PSu already. You don't need an additional PSU. Also get this ram is better and cheaper.

Good luck have fun with the build.

Also PS the Antec case is good, but get whatever you want, only reason i recommend is because it has classy looks, is solid and comes with an HE power supply built in.

Antec is definitely not the best power supply you can buy, it is extremely overrated. You have dual processors and dual graphics cards and this is supposed to be a business machine. I say get a better one.

Also, skrewler has a point about monitors - why buy 2 cards to run 4 small screens when you can get one card and 2 big screens for less money, probably less power draw, and definitely a better experience if he ever decides to watch a movie on it.

However, the Antec NeoHE is made by Seasonic

i'd honestly say go with a intel 6300 dual core, best bang for the buck.

and then I'd tell him to call dell, so then when the pc freezes in the middle of a stock trade, he can scream and yell all he wants at some 6 buck an hour guy in india.

and you can stay in your warm bed and sleep.

Not Quadro SLI, it has no problem driving 4 monitors...yeah, the 690 is nice

I'd go with a 975 board, a core 2 duo and a pair of 7300GTs or X1300s, unless you need 30 inch support, then I'd go with a pair of x1950pros. I run a 3 monitior setup off a 975 board with an x800 and x600.

Ryan, its AM2....not 939 if ya look at the CPU that was suggested; DDR2 will be a-ok

Looks good, but if he wants good day to day performance, splurge on ram, go for 2GB and he'll never even consider more in the lifetime of the computer. And getting a fast drive will definitely make the computer more snappy, so spend on that.

Hmm...wireless kb/mouse combo? That'd be pretty nice to have if you're typing all day...what else...

Oh! Hitachi isn't complained about much because they are just the old IBM HD division that got sold. The IBMs were so infamous in the old days that they were nicknamed 'DeathStars' (i.e. DeskStars) and many people wouldn't even touch them with a twenty foot pole. Long story short, every HD maker has had a bad run at some point.
