I would like to get your guys/gals opinion on a situation that a female friend of mine is in and to see if you think this is in any way weird or odd. Everything I tell you is what she herself told me and not from a 3rd party person or anything. Hope i added the poll correctly. First time doing that.
She met this guy on an online dating site and exchanged IM screen names so they could talk. So that night they talk via IM for awhile and hit it off. The next night they spent hours on the phone talking. The night after she meets this guy at a local bar and grill and ends up going to his house (which is not close. Like 35mins away) and spending the night there. She says no sex was involved. They see each other the next night, this time with sex involved. The next day at work her and I talk on the phone and she is all freaking out because she doesn?t want to lose this guy and is asking me what she can do to keep him. I kind of laugh because I'm thinking he's already got what he wanted.
A little back story as well on the guy. Ex military, ex bouncer, nurse who admits to being a player, has 4 children with 3 different women, two of whom he was married to, the oldest of the children he has custody of, but the other 3 he hasn't been asked to pay child support for or stay in contact with or anything. Within the first weeks of knowing each other they already talked about moving in with each other.
Well its been about 2 months now and he is living with her at her moms house along with her younger sister and niece. She has gotten ulcers since meeting this guy because she is so freaked out she is going to lose him somehow or he will find someone else. (She's kind wound tight anyway)
They have already talked about marriage. Plus, she has been married before to a man for 8 years and that didn?t work out, so I assumed she would be a little wiser/cautious with this kind of thing.
Anyways, She thinks nothing at all is weird about the above situation even though I tell her to take it slower and actually get to know this guy before doing anything that may lead to another divorce. She says I'm being non-romantic. I say she is not being realistic and moving too fast.
Just a simple poll to see if I am over reacting to this situation I find odd.
