FRIGGIN BORED. Going to buy a computer game. What to get?

I saw a brand spankin new Fry's when I visited Dallas. I got all excited, flew off the highway, screeched up to the front door, and realized it wasn't open for business yet. I cried for hours.

I went to Fry's and didn't feel like spending $50 (the price of both Rise of nations and Simcity 4000). I just wanted to play XCom. I found out there's an XCom Collector's edition with all 3 XComs. I'm going to try to track this down today.

but i recommend rise of nations
ive been playing it constantly since it came out.
but then again i really like the sim/civ type games more than anything else.

rise of nations got a really good review from maximum pc. if you want, you can try out the demo first (i thought the game was pretty sweet).

I'm looking into Rise of Nations, will I be overwhelmed by its "real-time"-ness?

They just opened one right by my house. (Frys) 635 and Olympia (I think?) it is the exit right after Beltine heading east.
It is nice. They have another one farther into Dallas on 635 too.

If you like turn-based games, the Jagged Alliance series is pretty fun. The games are older so you can probably find them cheap.
